Believe, Care, Strive, Achieve

At Alne Primary School we believe that the children’s development spiritually, morally, socially and culturally plays a significant role in them achieving their unique potential.

To ensure this happens we aim to provide a curriculum rich in SMSC development.

An outline of SMSC Education

Spiritual Development

To explore beliefs and experiences; respect faiths, feelings and values; enjoy learning about oneself, others and the surrounding world; use imagination and creativity; reflect.

Moral Development

Social Development

Use a range of social skills; participate in the local community; appreciate diverse viewpoints; participate, volunteer and cooperate; resolve conflict; engage with the British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance.

Appreciate cultural influences; appreciate the role of Britain’s parliamentary system; participate in cultural opportunities; understand, accept, respect and celebrate diversity.
