School Games Mark Recognition

We have been awarded a gold school games mark, which is a recognition of our commitment to delivering a broad range of quality sporting opportunities for our children at Alne Primary. This mark recognises the quality of PE provision, the fantastic efforts of our Young Leaders to inspire a love of sport in younger children and our commitment to give as many children as possible access to competitive sporting opportunities. This year, we were selected to be validated and, after an inspection from a representative of the School Games program, were upgraded from silver to gold.

Over the last academic year, our school has participated in every school games opportunity available, and won the accolades of:

  • North Yorkshire Girls Cricket winners
  • North Yorkshire Small Schools Football Runners-up
  • Yorkshire Girls Cricket Four County Finalists
  • North Yorkshire Area Cricket Finalists (mixed)
  • Hambleton Area Small Schools Football winners
  • Hambleton Area Cricket winners
  • Easingwold Area Y4 Hockey winners
  • Easingwold Area Tag Rugby winners
  • Easingwold Area Football winners
  • Easingwold Area Cluster Athletics winners
  • Easingwold Area Cricket winners (Year 6)
  • 9 runners qualified for the Hambleton Area Cross Country Running Final

These successes are thanks to the amazing efforts of our children, and also you as parents who help with lifts, support the use of the minibus through donations to trips, and give up your time to help to give your children access to as many opportunities as possible.
